A crazy world.

I’ve been thinking of various things to write to you about for a while now, but I’m sure you all feel the same way. The world feels as if it’s on the brink of something catastrophic and it’s just sometimes too hard to think about. We’ve lived through the stupidity of the Trump years and the dawning realisation that he was ushering in something catastrophic and we seem to be reaping what he sowed. There is no real answer, not yet at least. We just have to pray to whoever we feel able to pray to and hope common sense will prevail and that decent like-minded individuals and countries will come together for the common good and stand shoulder to shoulder. Let’s hope…

I’ve been busy carrying on with my normal life and trying my best to make the best of my time. Coco book 2 is out now and I’ve just (this week!) finished book 3. I’ll write more about ‘Cercueils en spirale’ soon. All I can say for now is that Coco finds herself in a monastery and her attention is divided between three missing coffins and the rather handsome monk who tries to help her…

This week we’ve just launched the audiobook of ‘Hugo & Josef,’ this time I’ve worked with a young American artist who has not only been amazing to work with, he has done a wonderful job with the book. H&J is a favourite of mine, a book I wanted to write for a long time and I have just begun its sequel ‘Club Vidéo.’ I had only planned on two prequels, but my husband is a fan of the trilogy, so he convinced me to add a book to the series. And that’s where ‘Club Vidéo,’ came from. After H&J I had planned on going straight to ‘Hugo & Madeline’ but as I’m writing CV I realise how important it is the early story of Hugo. It allows me a chance to explore his character even more and I’m really pleased with how the story is progressing, I hope you will be too. Oh, and as for the trilogy of prequels, let’s not forget the stand-alone story that will come after it. ‘Josef’ will follow the young Jewish boy as he moves to Israel. The book will span two time periods, 1996 and the present day. I’m really excited to get started on it.

Next up is ‘Le Bateau au fond de l'océan,’ i.e Hugo book 11. I still can’t believe we’re up to eleven - how did that even happen? I’ll write more about it ahead of its June 2022 release.

More soon, I promise, but until then sending you (and us all) love & light,

Gx
